I’ve always loved art and design and I’m so fortunate to have a career doing something I truly enjoy.
I grew up in the small beach town of Port Dover, Ontario and now proudly call Hamilton, Ontario my home. This helps me to understand the needs for both urban and rural clients. I graduated from Mohawk College’s Graphic Design program in 2005 and have been working in the industry ever since.
In my spare time you can find me with my nose in a book, out for a hike, or tending to my ridiculous number of indoor and outdoor plants. I am passionate about human rights, animal welfare, mental health, and advocating for people with disabilities.
As a way to escape the often limiting corporate world of design, I created a small business, Kitties and Cabernet. Yup, you heard that right, I make cat, wine and mental health themed art. Do what you love right? I wanted to do something to help the animals and those less fortunate, so I donate 10% of my proceeds to local charities.
You can find me at local handmade markets throughout the year selling my items, as well as online, selling from my Etsy and Society6 shops. Running my business has taught me a lot about small business marketing on a whole new level. Now I want to take what I’ve learned and help other artists and small businesses.
Cheers!
